The interfaces used normally are touch screens, remote controls and keypads.

All you have to do is to simply click the icons that are designated for the particular device of your home. You can find out the status of the tasks simply by checking through the security monitor camera. You can start anything that you have forgotten by clicking on the icon and get the job done before you reach home.
You can use your personal digital assistant to access your home automation system when you are on travel. Just switching a button will turn on the garage lights or porch lights to welcome you home.
